LEUNG Hong-yu 梁康裕 Leung Hong-yu is a second-year undergraduate student at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). His compositions are mainly in the contemporary style. His work Echoes of Spring was selected for the ‘New Generation 2020 Call for Scores’ organized by the Hong Kong Composers’ Guild. Anechoic Scream and Deadline Jitters were selected for the CUHK Ensemble-in-Residence 2020 - 2021 and 2019 - 2020 respectively. Apart from Western music, Leung has forayed into composing Chinese music. In 2020, his Night Thoughts premiered on the 5G live broadcasting concert ‘Music from the Heart’. It was followed by Pureness and Finding the Light , which were selected for the ‘HKCO Net Festival – With New Tunes, We Connect’. Leung is now majoring in violin under the tutelage of Goh Ching. YU Tsz-long 余梓朗 Yu Tsz Long, a Year 3 student is pursuing his Bachelor of Music degree at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts(HKAPA), major in Music Composition & Electronic Music under the guidance of Ms. Poly Ng. Yu’s works have been premiered and broadcasted in different places like Radio Television Hong Kong Radio 4, Hong Kong Museum of Arts, WSU Electroacoustic Mini Festival etc, by different ensemble and artist as Wind Kamerata, Cong Quartet, Chiyauyan in Hong Kong; Dr. Sarah Miller(Trombonist) in USA. CHOW Lora 周曉晴 Award-winning composer and coloratura soprano Lora Chow is celebrated for her cross-cultural musical innovation. Born in Hong Kong, she graduated magna cum laude from Yale University with a double major in Music and Economics, subsequently refining her craft under Hollywood composers Christopher Young, Patrick Kirst, and Lawrence Shragge. Chow’s pioneering compositions – spanning orchestral, chamber, vocal, and film genres have lyrical melodies in a unique voice. Her works have been premiered by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (Exsultate, Jubilate , 2018; Sympathy, 2019; Awakening for Soprano/Piano/Harp and Orchestra , 2024; Sleepless Moon Medley , 2025), Orchestra della Toscana (film score The Notting Hill Finale ), Sofia Sinfonietta , and Budapest Scoring Orchestra . Universal Edition publishes her scores, while Prima Classic releases her piano recordings. Her major works include the musical Dr. Clown , the East-West opera Sleepless Moon , Cantonese opera Ambush from All Sides , and piano albums Reveries on Ivories and Pursuits from the Roots . Her accolades include the Chigiana Film Scoring Award for Best Storytelling (2024), CASH Golden Sail Award Top 5 Best Young Composer , Cole Porter Fellowship in Music and Theater , Anita Hewitt-Jones Composition Prize , and Louis Sudler Creative and Performing Arts Award . LEUNG Tiffany 梁恩庭 Tiffany Leung is currently a fourth year undergraduate student at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), where she studies composition under the tutelage of Dr. Cheung Pui Shan. Leung is also a recipient of the Lion Club Music Charity Scholarship, Tom Lee Music Scholarship and Musicus Society Trey Lee Scholarship. Leung was one of the 21 candidates shortlisted for the “Sig. Tune for the HKMoA: Creative Music Programme,” organized by the Hong Kong Museum of Art (HKMoA) in 2019. LO Tsz-to Toto 盧子陶 Lo Tsz To (Toto) is a composer and pianist from Hong Kong. He completed his Master’s degree in Music Composition at the University of Oxford, supported by the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme. Prior to that, he studied composition at Hong Kong Baptist University, where he was awarded the Scholarship for Outstanding Performance from the HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund. In 2024, Toto collaborated with a visual artist and writer Valerie Asiimwe Amani on the art film Language of Eternal Hauntedness , showcased at Fusion Arts FOCUS during the inaugural DEPOT event in Oxford. That same year, he began New Hybrids , an art film and music concert combining electronics and piano performance with the film, presented at the Jacqueline du Pré Music Building, St Hilda’s College. During Toto’s studies at Oxford, his 30-minute piano improvisation Sand & Sea was performed at the Leonard Wolfson Auditorium, Wolfson College. His compositions have been performed by the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra, and his song was showcased by Oxford Song Young Artist Jonathan Eyers and pianist Thomas Eeckhout during the Oxford International Song Festival. His piano sextet Stars premiered at the Holywell Music Room, and other solo piano works were performed by pianist David Palmer. Toto’s string quartet Bat, Beasts and Birds was a finalist entry in the New Generation 2023 Competition, performed by the Romer Quartet at Radio Television Hong Kong. His trio Hexagonal Buzzing was presented by the Red Note Ensemble in The Glad Cafe at Glasgow, and his electroacoustic work From Jekyll to Hyde was diffused at Audio Mostly 2022 at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences in Austria. His music has also been recorded by acclaimed musicians, including organist Ulla Krigul, Berliner Philharmoniker flautist Egor Egorkin, and harpist Olivia Jageurs. Toto is passionate about opera and has served as a répétiteur for the Oxford Opera Society, performing in In Her Place in May 2024. As a piano accompanist, he has worked with the Oxford Singers, the Wolfson Choir, the United College Choir (CUHK), and the Carol Bateman School of Dancing. As a choral performer, he has sung with the St Hilda’s College Choir in Mozart Requiem at the University Church, and with the Oxford University Chorus in Mahler Symphony No. 2 at the Sheldonian Theatre. He participated in the Thirteenth Symposium on Educational Advances in Artificial Intelligence, joining the Mentored Undergraduate Research Challenge: Human-Aware AI in Sound and Music. As a stage performer, Toto has taken part in numerous productions, including the Hong Kong Arts Festival, Palazzetto Bru Zane (Carmen ), American Ballet Theatre (Whipped Cream ), Teatro Regio Torino (Simon Boccanegra ), Bayerisches Staatsballett (La Bayadère ), Ballett Zürich (Anna Karenina ), and several productions with Opera Hong Kong, such as Turandot and Aida . 《石牆樹》 Stonewall Trees 楊倩桐 Yeung Sin-tung Jessie 現於香港中文大學就讀文學士課程，主修音樂，副修政治與行政學及新聞及傳播。曾就讀香港演藝學院及其青少年音樂課程。現為香港青年中樂團、中大爵士樂團及崇基管樂團的低音大提琴手。 楊氏希望透過演奏和作曲，表達音樂的純粹。藝術的世界很大，還在探索，尋求音樂蘊含的意義和本質。 Yeung Sin-tung Jessie is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in Music and minoring in Government and Public Administration (GPAD) and Journalism and Communication. She previously studied at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and was a student in its Junior Music Programme. She is now the bassist for the Hong Kong Youth Chinese Orchestra, CUHK Jazz Ensemble and Chung Chi Wind Orchestra. Yeung would like to express music’s simplicity and intrinsic qualities through performance and composition, exerting herself to explore the essence and inwardness of music in this boundless world of art. 石牆樹在港島十分常見。戰後技術改良，後建的石牆已沒有留下可供植物生長的石縫。 這樂章由2015年般咸道細葉榕斬樹事件啟發。以四位馬木巴琴的演奏者代表四棵細葉榕，金屬樂器、定音鼓及大鼓上與棒槌摩擦的聲音形容鋸樹情境，其後樂手以手拍打馬木巴琴表達樹幹被斬後重新生長的情況。 以馬木巴琴拉弦的聲音作結，猶如重現鋸樹的動作。石牆樹與石牆可反映城市面貌和發展變遷，透過創作此樂曲，理解我們如何投射了回憶和情感予石牆樹上? The stonewall tree is quite common in the Hong Kong Island area. During World War II, these trees already existed, and the technique of constructing stone walls was mastered by craftsmen from Dongguan. After the war, the technology improved, but the later-built stone walls no longer had crevices suitable for plant growth. This piece was inspired by the 2015 Bonham Road banyan tree felling incident. Four marimba players represent four banyan trees, while the sounds of metal instruments, scraping sounds of friction mallets on timpani, and bass drums depict the scenario of sawing trees. Subsequently, the musicians tap the marimbas, expressing the regrowth of trees after being cut down. The bowing sound of the marimba concludes the piece as if re-enacting the action of sawing trees. Stonewall trees and stone walls can reflect the city’s appearance and transformation. Beyond music, we hope to understand the relationship between walls and people, and the way we project memories and emotions onto the stone wall trees. Back

CHUNG Tin-hon Aaron 鍾天瀚 Chung Tin Hon Aaron earned his B.A. in Music degree at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and is currently pursuing his Master of Music degree, studying composition under Professor Wendy Lee.
