LEUNG Wing-hang 梁永恆 Toccata Leung (artist name: Quantum-s-Rabbit) has created more than 60 MIDI music on the web. He is enthusiastic in promoting rock music education. He has been a rock and roll instructor in many schools and institutions. He actively composes music and can play many different types of instruments. Leung was a teacher of electronic music class at Yau Ma Tei Catholic Primary School (Hoi Wang Road), a musician of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, a tenor of the Ming Yi Chorus, and a small chamber band leader and composer of MI Live.  In addition, he has re-written school songs for HSBC Early Childhood Education, composed music for TV commercials, Japanese animation, stage plays, Internet pages and games. Because of his passion for Japanese animation music, he used to be the musician and composer of the Hong Kong ACG band "Wagashi", the instructor of the primary and middle school students’ band, and the original Japanese music composer of the network platform NicoNico. AU Tin-yung Alex 歐天勇 Au Tin Yung Alex was born in Hong Kong. He is an active composer, conductor, producer, jazz pianist and a promoter of contemporary music. He received his master degree (distinction) in Composition at the University of York, supervised by Dr. Thomas Simaku. Alex's works have been widely performed in different places including Hong Kong, Shanghai, Zhuhai, Macau, Taiwan, Italy and the U.K. Besides being a professional composer, Alex is also an enthusiastic performer. He has worked with a wide range of top musicians including Lonnie William, Ted Lo, Kazuo Takeda, Iain Ballamy and Julian Arguelles, etc and also performed in several International Jazz Festivals. Furthermore, Alex held a Jazz Piano Trio Concert in 2010, in which he participated in composition, conducting and performance. Since 2007, Alex has set up a music production house (PMW Works) in Hong Kong as a music producer. WAT Nga-man 屈雅汶 WAT Nga-man, Wyman is a composer and conductor based in Hong Kong. She received her Master of Music from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in composition, under the guidance of Mr. Law Wing-fai and Professor Richard Tsang. During her studies, her compositions had been widely presented and performed locally and internationally in Korea, Beijing, Guangzhou, Taiwan and Macao with high praises. Her works Ancient Path (2006) and Animated Timeframes (2007) were performed and broadcasted by RTHK Radio 4. Stone Tones (2008), The Man of Dust (2010), Ripples On… (2010), Prelude of Celebration (2011) and Somewhere in a City (2011) were commissioned by the Macao Percussion Association, Hong Kong Wind Kamerata, Parsons Wind Orchestra and HKBDA Band Directors Wind Orchestra respectively. At the Spotlight on Young Musicians Series 3 Concert – Cross coordinated by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council and Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2012, Wyman premiered works including Mosaic, Bonfire Light, Earth Beat, Ripples on a Lotus Pond, and was considered a great success. As a composer and a flutist, Wyman is active in promoting contemporary music and creative music making. Her work Wind Infinity (2013) for solo flute was selected to be performed by herself in the Chinese Composers’ Festival 2013. In recent times, Wyman was commissioned by the Hong Kong Composers’ Guild to compose three new works: Space Tight (2016), Silent Sorrow (2016) and Street in the Dark (2017) which were in SOUND-IMAGination concert series, and were broadcasted by RTHK Radio 4. During her study at the HKAPA, Wyman received prizes and scholarships including HKAUW Thomas H. C. Cheung Postgraduate Scholarship, The Lions & Joseph Koo Music Foundation Composition Scholarship, The Society of APA Scholarship and Parsons – Outstanding Composition Student for Wind Music. Apart from her active composing and performing career, Wyman now devotes more concentration on conducting and music composition education. LEUNG Ka-tung Tony# 梁家棟 Tony K.T. Leung’s compositions have been performed and broadcast in Australia, Belgium, Denmark, France, Hong Kong, Korea, Luxembourg, Ukraine, the USA and Canada by leading contemporary music ensembles. Recordings of works by the composer include CD releases from Luxembourg Sinfonietta, ERMMedia, and Canadian Electroacoustic Community. Born in Hong Kong, Tony discovered music through his first instrument, the erhu, and later the cello. As a youth, he arranged music for a Chinese orchestra, which sparked an early interest in western music and composition. From 1989 to 1992, he studied composition privately with University of Toronto Professor Chan Ka Nin. He received further training through workshops with Arraymusic, Conductors Guild, Esprit Orchestra, National Arts Centre, Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, and New Adventures in Sound Art. Other performers of his music include Vancouver Chinese Music Ensemble, Vienna Saxophone Quartet, Motion Ensemble, York Symphony Orchestra, and Regina Symphony Orchestra. As a conductor, he has directed Hong Kong Juvenile & Youth Chinese Classical Orchestra, Toronto Chinese Orchestra, Vancouver Chinese Music Ensemble, and York University Chinese Music Ensemble. HO Sung-chi Steve 何崇志 Born in Hong Kong, Dr Ho is a graduate of the University of British Columbia and a multi-award-winning composer whose achievements include the PROCAN 1987 and CAPAC 1988 of Canada; and the 21st Hong Kong Film Award for his soundtrack My Life As McDull . In addition, his mass choral work Music of the Spheres has been awarded the CASH's 2005 Golden Sail Award in the most widely performed serious music category. In 2015, the movie Mcdull, me and my mom won the prestigious Gold Horse award for Best Animation and for which Dr Ho wrote the film score. As a lyricist and a composer, Dr Ho's passion is to write Cantonese choral music. The result is over a hundred compositions and numerous musicals that are full of the colours of Hong Kong, for instance, the 35th anniversary musical Hong Kong Rocks commissioned by HKCC. Internationally, Dr Ho's music has been featured repeatedly in festivals and competitions such as the Pacific Piano Competition 1999 in Richmond, Canada; the CFMTA's Musical Odyssey 2001 in Kelowna, Canada; the World Choral Symposium 2003 in Switzerland; the Polyfollia 2006 in France; the SongBridge 2008 in Denmark; the World Youth and Children's Choir Festival 2017 and the Belt and Road World Choral Festival 2018. Dr Ho is currently the BME program leader and an assistant professor in the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts at the Education University of Hong Kong and appointed Adjunct Professor by the South China Normal University. LAM Hong Chong Adrian 林瀚聰 ADRIAN LAM graduated in Mathematics from the Oxford University, where he completed his research The Science of Music: A Mathematical Approach. He obtained his M.Phil in Music from the University of Hong Kong with his thesis Original Compositions: Elements of the Musical Space. He learnt the piano with Eva Lue, Colin Stone and Raymond Fischer and studied music composition with Glynn Jenkins, Christopher Colemen, Christopher Keyes and Joshua Chan. He holds a distinction in LTCL in piano and prizes in performance and composition. VIII Preludes for Pianoforte was awarded the 1stprize in the James Poke Composition Competition in UK in 2000. Astray was awarded the best composition at the 2004 New Generation Composition Competition. Hasty Passer, a commissioned work was premiered and broadcasted in RTHK4 in 2005. Adrian studied, on scholarship, under Miguel Mera and David Matthews at Dartington International Summer School, where Red’s Dream(collaboration with PIXAR) and Five Pieces for String Quartet were premiered. Separated … at the Human Labyrinth of Asakusa Temple was awarded the 1st Prize in Shakuhachi Chamber Music International Competition 2010 and was premiered in Melbourne. Escape! From the Shaded Territory…! was premiered in Tokyo in the same year. “One Day Holiday” was premiered in Osaka in 2011 and the UK in 2012. “Summer Snow”, commissioned by HKCG, was featured at the Musicarama 2012. SHUEN Lai-yin 孫禮賢 Shuen Lai Yin is currently studying in The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, with major in composition and electronic music. His compositions range from Western and Chinese instrumental chamber music, live electronics and choral music. His choral compositions “The Turns of Life”, “Goodbye Again, Cambridge” and “Deer Enclosure” are premiered by The Greeners’ Sound. Also, Shuen’s instrumental music has been performed by various music groups as Hong Kong New Music Ensemble, Jenga Percussion Ensemble, Romer String Quartet. WONG Kong-yu 王廣宇 Wong Kong-yu’s list of music compositions contains some thirty works for various forces. He also has several volumes of piano music for Children published. Two professional recordings of his works Three Lyrics of Lu Fang Weng and A Moon of My Own can be heard on Navona Records. 《追趕人》 A Chasing Man 鄭錫楠（季軍） Cheng Sik-nam（2nd Runner Up) 鄭錫楠在香港出生和成長，他予2022年畢業於香港演藝學院音樂學院，主修作曲及電子音樂，師隨邱玉鳯博士（2018-2019）以及鄧慧中博士（2020-2022），在兩位老師的栽培下，鄭氏在作曲技巧、獨立思考和對藝術的看法得到獨到的個人風格。鄭氏予2022年為 JK & Ingrid Lee 創意項目基金的獲獎者，並且在2021/22年度獲得 ‘CASH Composition Scholarship’ 獲學金。 鄭氏致力探索不同型式的創作。在2022年，他參與由香港演藝學院戲劇學院學生演出的戲目《無病呻吟》作曲、填詞和鋼琴演奏的部分。他在2022年創作了一首管弦樂作品《亮紅新星》，以及在2020年為香港大學學生會編製學生會會歌。 他最近熱衷於演奏手碟並正尋找演出機會分享他的音樂。 Born and raised in Hong Kong, Cheng Sik-nam graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2022, studying the Bachelor of Music (Hons.). He majored in composition and electronic music with Dr. Yau Yuk-fung in 2018-2019 and Dr. Joyce Tang in 2020-2022. Cheng’s composition techniques, critical thinking and the perspective of arts were cultivated during both doctor’s tutelage. He was an awardee of the JK & Ingrid Lee Foundation Creative Project Fund in 2022 and CASH Composition Scholarship 2021/22. Cheng aims to explore different form factors of creations. He was the songwriter, lyricist and pianist of Le Made Imaginaire, a drama show by HKAPA drama school, held in 2022 in Rita Tong Liu Drama Theatre, HKAPA. He composed an orchestral work Luminous Red Nova in 2022. He was the arranger of the Union Song for the Hong Kong University Student Union in 2020. He is currently having much passion on handpan and seeking opportunities to share his music. 人一生中，我們會自然地與別人比較，像是大中小學的學業成績、工作的事業發展，乃至結 婚生小孩，彷彿我們不斷追趕着一班列車，有人一早就登上了列車，亦有人仍拼命追趕着。 然而，我們都不知道這班列車的終點站在哪裏、哪裏有些甚麼、何時到達。那麼，我們到底 為了什麼如此拼命地追趕？為了別人的期望？抑或是自己為了不被別人超越？ 《追趕人》以快速而平穩的節奏模仿人類追趕列車的情境，從而反思自己的人生。 School’s academic results, career development at work, starting a family, these things we will undoubtedly be compared with others during our lifetime. Seemingly we are chasing a train endlessly that some maybe on board already but some haven’t. For the destination, things we will see in the terminal, time of arrival, we, however, know nothing about it. So, is it worth using lots of effort to chase it? Are we actually fulfilling people’s expectations? Or are we afraid of being chased by others? In a certain period of our life, we will know whether we take the right train or not. Ask yourself, what kind of thing means a lot to you? Is it wealth and power? Starting a family? Or is it pursuing a healthy physical and mental life? After all, it is our desire to decide where the terminal is and only yourself know about it. A Chasing Man uses a rapid and steady rhythm, depicting the scenario of people chasing a train and thus, reflecting our career. Back

LEUNG Chi-pong 梁志邦 After obtaining a Bachelor degree in Art (Music) from Hong Kong Baptist University, Leung Chi Pong is studying master in music (composition) in the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. His teacher includes Mr. Clarence Mak, Dr. Lo Hau Man, Dr. Christopher Keyes and Dr. Christopher Coleman. Leung’s works were performed by Bang on a Can All-Stars, Hong Kong Kamerata, Hong Kong New Music Ensemble, Hong Kong Academy Symphony Orchestra, Musicogenic Symphony Orchestra, Kwai Tsing Philharmonic Orchestra and Miss Emily Li (Handbells). In 2012, he achieved a 3rdprize in the 10th Italy Percussion Composition Competition. Being the Music Director and Resident Conductor of Kwai Tsing Philharmonic Orchestra and Grandmaster Philharmonic Orchestra since 2009, the Hong Kong conductor Leung Chi Pong is described as “liberate expression and passion from music”. His Teacher includes Dr. Jerome Hoberman, Prof. Kenneth Kiesler, Mr. James Judd and Prof. Jerry F. Junkin. Leung had collaborated with many renowned artists, including violinist Prof. Suli Xue, pianist Dr. Karl Lo, mezzo soprano Sophie Gopsill and flutist Brian Gopsill. He has also appeared with orchestras such as The Academic Symphony Orchestra (Kharkov/Ukraine), Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra (Lithuania) and Musicogenic Symphony Orchestra (Hong Kong). YIU Hon-fai Cliff 姚漢輝 早年遠赴奧地利維也納音樂院深造， 主修作曲，理論，副修鋼琴，小提琴與指揮。師承Prof. R. Portisch。 留學期間曾參加波蘭華沙作曲班，主要教授包括K.
