Transcending Music Legacy

Hong Kong Composers’ Guild (HKCG) is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year. To mark this special occasion and to share our music creativity and musical ideas of the past four decades to the public, HKCG is proud to present the Transcending Music Legacy. Original compositions selected by HKCG will be showcased in the following concerts:

1. Concert with Nova Ensemble

2. Concert with Hong Kong Gaudeamus Dunhuang Ensemble; and
3. Concert with The Hong Kong Children’s Choir

A total of 26 contemporary music will be featured in this festival, with 3 commissioned pieces composed by local composers Stephen Yip, Chan Ming Chi and Chan Kai Young.

A press conference for the event will be held on Monday, 25 September 2023 at the Sheung Wan Civic Center(7/F, Sheung Wan Municipal Services Building, 345 Queen’s Road Central, Hong Kong). The Honourable Officiating Guests are Mr. Leung Kin-fung (HKADC representative of Music), and HKCG Chairman Dr. MUI Kwong-chiu.

The Transcending Music Legacy is presented by HKCG, supported by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council and CASH Music Fund.
