Chan Sze-rok received her Bachelor of Arts and MPhil
from the University of Hong Kong in 2003 and 2006, studying composition
with Dr. Chan Hing-yan. Chan started to learn the piano at the age of
four and then, in the years after, the flute, trumpet and trombone. She
has developed great interest towards music since then. The
year 2005 was a fruitful year for her: she was first awarded the Best
Composition at the New Generation 2005 and later won the first prize at
the International Music Competition Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest 2005
in Romania. Her latest commissioned works have been composed for
the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and RTHK Radio 4.
